- 400XF series fittings have a strong structure designed for surge pressures and spikes, high impulses, and vibration. They also have great resistance to fatigue. The universal ferrule can be used either with 2 wire braided hose (in some circumstances) or 4 spiral hoses. These heavy-duty fittings are used for industrial and mobile hydraulics. - 400XF series fittings can be identified by the X located on the ferrule. When making hose assemblies using 400XF series fittings, make sure that the hose you are using is designed to work with the 400XF series hose fittings.
